Brooklyn-based indie rock band Bear Hands have just released their third LP, ‘You’ll Pay For This‘. The album is a sonic document of a band growing and moving, and graduating to the next phase of their lives. It has a simmering intensity coursing through its veins. In effect, the album is like “the second verse.” It will be what separates Bear Hands from their peers.
They recently released the brand new video for their track ‘Boss‘ which recently premiered exclusively on Noisey. The video was directed by Ethan Berger and edited by Bear Hands guitarist, Ted Feldman.
The video features Rexx Reed, a Ron Jeremy type, who has acted in over 150 music videos (Rihanna, Coldplay, Lady Gaga), and follows his character’s, a disillusioned father and husband’s, descent into middle-aged debauchery.
“It’s always exciting to get an opportunity to make something with Ted,” Berger explained to Noisey. “He’s been a close friend and collaborator since college. He’s in the band but he also edited the video. I wrote this for Robert. Robert plays a stay at home dad — but not by choice. His home life makes him claustrophobic. He internalises this until the end of the video — his family’s there to clean up. The people who make him feel trapped are the ones to clean up his mess.”
‘Boss‘ can be viewed HERE.
Having previously played festivals such as Coachella, Reading & Leeds, KROQ Weenie Roast and tours with Cage The Elephant, Silverson Pickups and more, Bear Hands have just completed a US run with Foals.
