Biters are a rock n roll quartet hailing all the way from Atlanta, Georgia, who have been described as the modern mash up of Ramones, Cheap Trick, Thin Lizzy and T Rex. They recently released their 3rd studio album titled ‘The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be through Earache Records, as well as just coming off of a UK tour with their label mates Blackberry Smoke.

So what can you expect from ‘The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be? Kicking off with the first track ‘Let It Roll you can already hear that classic rock vibe but with a modern touch. The catchy hook, “Let it rock, let it roll” is one that you can definitely imagine roaring back to the band at their live show; this track is a good album opener and definitely leaves you wanting more.

Straight away you get to hear some great tracks like ‘Don’t Turn This Good Heart Bad‘, which is reminiscent of You Give Love A Bad Name‘ by Bon Jovi, with its catchy chorus that will be in your head for days. Also ‘Vulture City is a proper rock and roll track with powerful Thin Lizzy style vocals.

I would say my standout track from ‘The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be is ‘Chasing The Feeling‘. It’s upbeat rock n roll at its best and a great party song.

Biters really prove themselves with this 3rd studio album and you can hear clear influences from Ramones, T Rex, golden era David Bowie and golden era Alice Cooper. Their style of rock is not something I’ve reviewed before and I’d never listened to the band prior to this, but being a genre that I was brought up on, I was more than impressed. If you love classic rock, I recommend that you check out Biters.
