The BoomTown organisers do not mess about do they? barring any dropouts, we are now all set for this year’s festival after they announced DSTRKT 5 as the last district to be revealed. Admittedly we don’t usually cover drum & bass but towering over D5 is the incredible nine-storey Bang Hai Palace, a flame-throwing heavy bass mecca and the city’s most striking skyline spectacle. Quite possibly one of the most impressively visual outdoor stages we have laid our eyes on.

For any of our readers who do happen to be a fan of drum & bass, you may recognise some of the following names added to the BoomTown lineup: Calyx & TeeBee, Mefjus, My Nu Leng, Roni Size, The Upbeats
KOAN Sound, Critical Music
with Holy Moly Creative, Mandi Dextrous, Mapp Maker, Dave Skywalker, Luke Sayers, Sam Tee, 0=0, Jason Cz, Jason Dmt and Itchy & Skratchy DJ’s.

Touching down for the first time in DSTRKT 5 is the Scrapyard, home to the hardest and fastest beats in the city. Representing the best that the international hardcore, crossbreed and hardtek scenes have to offer are the likes of Angerfist, Dr Peacock, Vandal, Counterstike and The Outside Agency, with takeovers from PRSPCT and Therapy Sessions.
