Have You Heard? Car Bomb

Meet Long Island based tech metal act Car Bomb. A band that is comprised of members of two previous groups – Neck and Spooge – brought together to create a unique brand of technical/extreme metal with punishing guitars and muscular rhythm.

They’re heading to the UK this week to support Gojira on their European Magma tour after only visiting once before for a one off show, previously supporting Meshuggah.

Back in 2010 vocalist Michael made a documentary called ‘Why You Do This‘, which you can check out on YouTube, which focuses on Car Bomb‘s (and other metal bands) struggles with creating heavy music that  doesn’t have the mass appeal of more mainstream genres. It also showcases false realities of touring – the financial setbacks, and having to balance your nine-to-five job with the desire to be a full time musician, but ultimately it focuses on passion and unity of the metal crowd as the driving force through any hardships. It features some really great names in modern metal, including Lamb Of God and Gojira.

Check out one of their tracks ‘Secrets Within‘ here:

If you like what you see/hear then stay tuned because the band will be returning to the studio to work on new music, and will return to Europe/the UK in the summer.
