Have You Heard? Madus
If you haven’t then, this is definitely something to keep on your musical radar. Influenced by the likes of Arctic Monkeys, QOTSA and The Strokes, Los Angeles quartet Madus create their own style of riffy and dynamic garage rock.
Since the release of their debut EP back in 2013 (recorded by Grammy award winning producer Matt Hyde (No Doubt, Johnny Lang), they’ve been absolutely non-stop with writing and recording new music, touring all over and having their music played on TV shows such as NCIS: LA, award winning documentary H2Indo and one of Stone Brewing Co‘s Holiday videos.
Madus are premiering their latest single ‘Through The Dark‘ via PureGrainAudio and you can have a little listen here.
The track is the first to be released from the band’s 2017 mixtape and was produced by Noah Shain (Dead Sara/As Tall As Lions). It captures the raw, live sound of Madus’ high-energy rock shows and questions if the love we crave even exists.
“Don’t get me wrong, sloppy, sleazy love can be fun, but when you meet a person that makes you wonder where they’ve been all your life…I imagine that’s quite the incredible feeling, but then, maybe it doesn’t exist,” said Dugan Cruz, lead singer and guitarist.
If this track isn’t enough then just hold tight; Madus are going to be putting out one self-produced track per month!
We reviewed the last EP from Madus, titled ‘All The Way‘, and we also interviewed the band back in July 2015! Have a little read here…
