Have You Heard? Nova Twins

If you took everything rock music needs right now, London’s Nova Twins definitely tick all the boxes. They’re gritty, angry and heavy; the Nova Twins are certainly making some noise! Ahead of releasing their self-titled debut EP on the 19th of August, the South East girls, Amy Love and Georgia South just premiered their new music video via NME for single ‘Hitlist’. Watch it below and turn it up.

Citing themselves as “urban punk” one might ask what is urban punk? To me, I think of rap and hip-hop mixed with heavy rock, a little bit of that Rage Against The Machine vibe. Whilst that may not sound original, it’s certainly fresh in the current music scene.

It’s sistas in sonic mayhem, killer bass lines and nail you to the wall hooks, Love and South get a kick out of writing songs and playing shows wearing custom made clothes and stack heels. South’s thunderous bass and unique combination of FX pedals underpins Love’s urban lyrics and unique rocking’ yowl. It’s serious girl power motivation.

Nova Twins posted online, “This EP is the result of all the highs, lows, laughs, tears, chaos, fun, mischief and the good kind of trouble that started before we even became a band, our friendship lead us to our very first EP and we are sooo excited that we finally get to share it with you all.”

You can pre-order the Nova Twins self-titled EP from iTunes here or head over to their Facebook page to find out how to get your hands on a vinyl! Be sure to check out the artwork too, it’s sick!
