Have You Heard? Tenements

Glasgow-based quintet Tenements is made up of Darren Coles (Vocals), Chris Bennett (Guitar/Vocals), Callum Nicolson (Guitar), Malcolm Robb (Bass) and Jamie Whiteside (Drums/Vocals).

If you love the combination of shouty vs clean vocals, epic riffs and hard-hitting drum rolls, then look no further. Taking influence from the likes of Funeral For A Friend, Killswitch Engage and UnderOath, to create their post-hardcore sound, Tenements are just getting started….

The band recently revealed their new single ‘Standing On the Backs Of Angels’ with the official premiere via Punktastic.

“Standing On The Backs Of Angels’ is a message for everyone who has experienced some form of toxicity, whether it be from a friendship, relationship or belief. Everyone at some point in their life has all been in a position where enough is enough…”, says the band about the track.

The single is the second to be taken off of their debut EP which will be set for release in 2018! Check out the band’s debut single ‘Silhouttehere.

After recently debuting their live show supporting Dead!, the post-hardcore lads were due to head out on their own tour this month, however the band recently announced via social media that this would have to be postponed, with the below comment:
“*TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT*It is with a very heavy heart, that Tenements have to postpone their November tour.

This was not an easy choice to make and unfortunately outwith our control. We would like to apologise to Riff Media, promoters, venues, all the other bands involved, and most importantly, those who were coming out to see us. We are already planning our 2018 and give our absolute word that we will be taking our music anywhere and everywhere that are willing to have us. This is merely a minor speedbump.

We’ve got this, and we can only apologise.

We’re going to be back, I promise.

You can’t stop the signal.

Love,
Chris, Darren, Jamie, Callum and Malcolm

So stay tuned guys – Tenements will be back for more in 2018 and we can’t wait!
